India’s batting maestro Virat Kohli received a warm welcome in Raipur ahead of the second ODI against visitors New Zealand slated to be played at the Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Stadium on Saturday, January 21.

After winning a thriller at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad on Wednesday, January 18 team India is all set to take an unassailable lead of  2-0 in the ongoing three-match ODI series.

The Indian team has arrived in Raipur for the second encounter of the series and that’s when the star Indian batter Virat Kohli got a special welcome from fans in Raipur. In a photo shared on Twitter, the fans have put up a huge painting of Virat and it has taken the internet by storm.

A Twitter user shared a picture of the painting with the caption, “Kohli has the streets, King of World cricket’.” The painting shows the India batter extending his arms and celebrating in joy.

Virat is in scinitillating touch at the moment. He was the Player of the Series against the Asian champions Sri Lanka with 283 runs in three matches including two centuries. He also jumped to no. 4 in the ICC ODI batting rankings because of the same.

Although, Virat failed to score big in the first ODI against the Kiwis as he got bowled by Mitchell Santner for just 8 runs off 10 balls. But the fans will hope to see him score big in the second ODI.

Team India is already 1-0 up in the ongoing ODI series against the Black Caps. New Zealand gave a tough fight to India with Michael Bracewell’s superb 140-run knock after Kiwis were down for 131 for 6. But the Men in Blue held their nerves till the end and won the match by 12 runs.
