Veteran all-rounder Irfan Pathan has come forward and given a befitting reply to Pakistan’s prime minister Shehbaz Sharif after he mocked India’s ouster from the ongoing T20 World Cup following their humiliating ten-wicket defeat to England in the semifinals.

It so happened that after the Three Lions successfully chased down the 169-run target without losing a single wicket in the second semifinal, Sharif took to his official Twitter account and wrote, “So, this Sunday, it’s: 152/0 vs 170/0.”

Aap mein aur hum mein fark yehi hai: Irfan Pathan

While Pakistan PM’s tweet evoked heated reactions from the Indian cricket fans, even Irfan Pathan did not shy away from giving it back as he came forward and asked Sharif to first look into the sorry state of affairs in his own country instead of focusing too much on other’s problems. “Aap mein or hum mein fark yehi hai. Hum apni khushi se khush or aap dusre ke taklif se. Is liye khud ke mulk ko behtar karne pe dhyan nahi hai.”

Earlier this week, Irfan had also asked some of the toxic Pakistani fans to celebrate gracefully after they went overboard while celebrating their team’s seven-wicket victory over New Zealand in the first semifinal at the SCG.

Some of the Pakistani fans had come up with distasteful comments for their Indian counterparts after their clinical performance against the Kiwis and that is when Pathan seemed to have enough of it.

Pakistan PM’s 152/0 was in reference to the last year’s T20 World Cup Super 12 encounter where skipper Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan’s unbeaten partnership helped the Men in Green get over the line by ten wickets against India. With that emphatic win, Pakistan also broke their almost 29-year-old World Cup jinx against arch-rivals India.

After England’s one-sided victory at the Adelaide Oval, the Three Lions have now set up a final clash against the Babar Azam-led side at the iconic MCG on Sunday, November 13. While Pakistan had won the T20 World title in 2009, the Three Lions won the following edition in the Caribbean in 2010.
